Please note that this page is instructions only. To log in to your account, click on Search The Catalog.

My Account lets you:

  • Log in to see items you have checked out, due dates, etc.
  • Place holds on items that are checked out.
  • Renew the items you have checked out.

How to Log in:
From any page in the Palm Springs Library website, click on SEARCH THE CATALOG at the top left corner.

If you have THIS library card: In the User ID box, type a $ sign, followed by all 9 digits on your Palm Springs Library card. ($000123456)

If you have the NEW library card with key tag: In the User ID box, type just the numbers on your card, NO dollar sign. (9000123456) New Palm Springs Public Library cards with key tags are now available at the Circulation Desk.

In the PIN box, when logging on for the first time, type the word changeme (all one word, no space). You can also create your own unique PIN or change your PIN at any time in My Account.


How to Place a Hold:
When you find an item in the catalog that is checked/charged out, you may place a hold on that item.

  • Select your item, then click <Place Hold> at the left of the screen.
  • You will be asked for your User ID and PIN if you are not already logged in.
  • You will be notified by phone when your item is available.
  • There is no charge to place a hold, and the item will be held for five days after you are notified.
  • If you do not pick up the item within the five days, you will be charged one dollar.

How to Renew your Items:
Log in to your account with your User ID and PIN, click on <Renew My Materials> and follow the on-screen instructions.
