Author Lecture: Richard Halsey
Time: 6:30pm
Location: The Learning Center
Author Richard Halsey will discuss his book "Fire, Chaparral and Survival in Southern California". This book discusses how of all the distinct, natural communities in California, only one is found throughout and only one can be said to represent the state's most characteristic wilderness: chaparral. His book is focused on how within the chaparral California will find its best and perhaps last chance to reclaim its wildness and preserve the quality of life made possible by the region's natural, open spaces. The lecture will begin at 6:30 p.m. in The Learning Center (TLC).
