Halloween Party

Come in costume and join storyteller Ken Frawley for "Halloween Party". This song and story filled program will have you singing and clapping along, fun for the whole family. Awards for the pumpkin decorating contest will be presented. The program will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Story Room in the Youth area. For more information call Youth Services at 323-8199.

Join several contributors to the desert's "Phantom Seed" magazine as it launches the second issue here at the Library. This magazine includes stories, poems, essays and interviews that embody the mystique, intrigue, history, and artistic communities of California's rugged and intoxicating southeastern lands: the Mojave, Sonoran, and Anza Borrego Deserts. The readings will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Q & A session, in The Learning Center (TLC).
